Elaine is the Government Affairs Manager for British Airways Plc, the UK’s globally-networked airline based at London’s Heathrow Airport. An aviation professional who has worked across many areas of the airline before her move into corporate and political communications, Elaine has a wide-ranging knowledge of the aviation, transport and infrastructure sectors.

As a well-known UK brand, British Airways' policy interests stretch across numerous Whitehall departments and international jurisdictions. Elaine has had extensive engagement at national, regional and local level on issues as diverse as aviation policy, infrastructure, climate change, the environment, volcanic ash fall-out, spectrum pricing, high speed rail, taxation, employment and employee issues, biofuels, pensions, business reorganisation and customer issues.

Elaine is a graduate of Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities, and began her career with the airline in Glasgow in 1985. Off-duty, her interests include cooking, gardening, theatre, current affairs and friends & family.
